My Favorites!
Nazar beat me to blogging about Chase being born, but I thought I would add my favorite pictures and thoughts! I can't believe we have 3 boys now! I know I had 9 months to prepare for this, but I'm still just so shocked to be blessed with another beautiful son! I don't know how I can possibly be so smitten with Chase so soon, but he captured my heart immediately! He is so sweet, and so far (knock on wood) seems to be the most mellow baby of my 3! Justin and Dawson are also in love with their new brother, and in fact, the challenge is trying to keep them from smothering him with hugs and kisses all the time! Life is good, and I feel so lucky (if not a little bit exhausted!). Oh, and I would like to add for the record that I was not in favor of the diaper picture in Nazar's post, I think it's disgusting, but Nazar has this weird obsession with those first few tar diapers, so I'm humoring him by not taking it off!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I know I've posted a few of these pictures already, but as I am thinking about what I am thankful for this morning, these pictures are the best representation I have have right now!
I can't believe how lucky I am! I have such an amazing family I can hardly believe it! Nazar is the best husband ever (and I'm being dead serious!) He is so sensitive and helpful that I almost feel guilty for getting to keep him for all eternity! Justin is the most kind and loving 4 year old I've ever met. It's almost freaky how aware he is of other people's feelings. And Dawson is so spunky he makes your head spin! I predict that he will be the jokester of the family, he is so dang hilarious at less than 2 years old! So this Thanksgiving, I am truly grateful for my amazing family and all that they bring into my life!

Crazy Dream
As noted in the title, I had the craziest dream last night. I was in a low lit room with someone I didn't recognize. I don't remember what we were talking about but it had something to do with the devil. After a couple of seconds, he told me that he was in the room with us. I asked him where he was. He pointed to the other side of the room which was roughly 10 feet away. I got really scared because it was Satan and that I couldn't really see him. I asked him if he was still there and he said yes!
I don't know if it was because of all these years of going to the temple that made me unconsciously raise my hand to the square and commanded him to leave in the name of Jesus or just because I didn't know what else to do. I know that reading this doesn't make you scared, but in my dream, it really freaked me out. So anyway... As I started to do this, he slowly started to come after me. (I felt like Harry Potter in the first book when he saw He Who Must Not Be Named in the forest coming after him) I realized that although I was going through the motions, I doubted that what I was doing was really going to repel this monster that I couldn't really see! But after what seamed like an eternity, I mustered up the faith to believe in what I was saying. So I started to say it again and again each time getting louder and louder. I could feel my body shivering and trying desperately not fall apart. It felt so real and intense. After a couple of seconds, Satan finally withered away and left us alone.
After I woke up this morning, I got to thinking that I was really happy that I knew exactly what to do and didn’t hesitate in doing the right thing! I just wish that this experience was a true reflection of all of the actions in really life:)

Garage Sale!
We have been married for almost 7 years now and have never done a garage sale or have ever been to one. But this Saturday from 6 to 9am we are going to attempt to make one happen. Please don't laugh at us. Aside from the byproduct of money we really want to get rid of stuff we have collected over the years and free up some of our space in the garage.
So.. if you are in the neighborhood or want to make a special trip from the other side of the world, we'd love to sell you an old pair of shoes for a dollar:)
(okay so this really isn't our garage, but just to give you guys an idea..)

still small voice
this morning while driving to work, i was in the fast lane going around 80 miles per hour as normal. i was listening to some church music and just contemplating about the days events. as i was thinking.. i felt like i should slow down and go less than 80mpr. at first i didn't want to obey, i was late as it was to a meeting. but after a second prompting, i decided that i would listen and dramatically reduce my speed to 75mpr. i think within 30 seconds, i looked in my rear view mirror and saw a cop! i then proceeded to drop my speed down to 70 by taking my foot off the gas peddle. when i did this i also changed my lane to the right and hoped and prayed that i would not get pulled over. to my great joy, the cop pass by me and all went well! just wanted to make shout out to the big HG for the help this morning.

three weeks left
Wow I can't believe that there is only three weeks left til’ Mr. Chase Mathew Kalayji makes his debut into the world(give or take a week)! Life as we know it will no longer be the same. Sleeping more than three hours consecutively will only be a mere distant memory that we hold on to for dear life. Trying to get ready to go out of the house with the three boys and into the car will be a great accomplishment all on its own.
Why do we lds people do such crazy things as having so many kids back to back is clearly insane to the outside world. I guess the reason we keep on doing it(DeAnne might disagree) is because it truly brings us the most amazing sprit(sometimes the bad kind) to our home:) Might be a tad cliché, but I can't think of anything else in this world that is more gratifying than seeing the boys grow.

Halloween
Wow, was I surprised to read the last entry on this blog! Someone's on a power trip!! No, what's really happening here is that Nazar and I decided that because of my lack of dedication to blogging, he would also add fun stories and pictures here, so that we could try to give you more than a bi-annual update on our family! Apparently he just forgot about the part about me still being involved!! (I love you sweetheart!)
Anyway, on to more exciting things. This year we had a great halloween. It was a day that had a lot of anticipation leading up to it. Back at the beginning of October the search for Justin's perfect costume began. Up until this year, I have always had free license over what the boys would be, and for some silly reason, I thought that this year would be no different! Well apparently 4 years old is the cutoff, because Justin had very strong opinions this year. I tried with all my might to convince him to be a punk rocker (I know that sounds a little unconventional, but if you could see the costume in my head, you'd understand!), but he resisted saying that he wanted to be Buzz. Well after many negotiations (I know, I'm a horrible mom for trying to convince my 4 year old to let me have my own way!) the final conversation that secured his halloween fate went something like this:
"Mommy, if you really want me to, I'll be a punk rocker"
Long Pause
"But in my heart, I just feel like I really want to be Buzz Lightyear."
Now, how can you argue with that?!? So here are his Buzz pictures, and I have to admit, he did make an adorable Buzz!
Dawson was a little bit easier to convince. He is completely in love with animals, especially the ones that make fun sounds, so all I had to do was talk to him about being a lion, and what sound a lion makes, and he was game. He did have a few issues with the hood at the beginning, but candy bribes worked wonders to get him to wear it!
So Halloween brought with it many activities this year. First was our ward trunk or treat which Justin and Nazar had a lot of fun at. (Dawson and I were not able to attend because Dawson had the flu) Then on Halloween we had a jam packed day. Dawson, Nazar and I had fun at Nazar's work party during the day (Justin was at school) where Dawson quickly learned that all he had to do was stalk Nazar's co-workers around the office with his pumpkin outstretched and they would reward him with endless amounts of candy! Our next stop was Justin's school where they put on a Halloween program which included all the kids singing songs. I must admit that I was a very proud mom as I watched Justin up there singing! Then we rounded out the night by going to our friends house for treats and then trick or treating. Justin loved it, Dawson had a meltdown after 15 minutes, and that ended the night! Whew what a day!

under new management
I am sorry to report that kalayji.blogspot.com will no longer have DeAnne as author. Nazar has been assigned to fulfill this task. I hope to continue to provide the avid readers something interesting about the Kalayji family each week. Please stay tuned for more memorable stories about trips to the hospital and other fun events that are without fail experienced by the kalayji family.

Just Me And The Boys
With the addition of our second son Dawson to our family last year, I'm completely outnumbered. At times it seem like life is just one big noisy, dirty, wrestling match! But really I couldn't be more happy! Justin and Dawson are so much fun (most of the time!) It's been so fun to watch them grow and develop. In an attempt to share our stories and pictures with those of you who are interested, I'm starting my first blog. My plan is to keep you updated on what's going on in our lives, but I reserve the right to slack off every now and then! After all I do have a 3 year old and a 1 year old!
